Through the research conducted, which also included the observation of other companies’ social media usage, now one has a vivid picture of what social media involves.
Social media differ from conventional media in many aspects, such as: usability, quality, reach, frequency and further on.
After the creation of the video and a social media plan it was time for the fictitious company to make an online presence. Therefore, the Facebook page, Twitter profile and YouTube channel were opened.

Opening the pages involved setting up various options available to promote the business, thus reaching the target audience. To further substantiate the budgets found on the social media plan, the following images depicts the costs incurred for promoting Aer on Facebook. It was noted that the use of the YouTube and Twitter applications, especially of the former has increased the number of viewers drastically on the video.
Inviting friends and sharing these pages, in a few days time the number of followers and viewers were accumulated. This can be seen in the images below.
